Counselor in Training Registration 2025
Our Counselor's in Training program offers teen counselors going into 9th –12th grade in the Fall of 2025 the opportunity to develop leadership skills while assisting Zoo Camp Counselors for one week periods during the 2025 summer camp season. This is an opportunity to work directly with children grades 1st to 6th grades helping our professional camp counselors with animal, science, art and traditional camp activities. All hours served will count towards community service commonly required by local schools.
Waitlist
Once a week has been filled, a waitlist will be started. Join the waitlist by providing basic contact information.
When a space becomes available, an email will be sent and recipient will have 180 minutes to register.
Other Information:
Camp Hours. A full day of camp runs from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Monday through Friday. Camp day begins with drop off/sign in with a camp counselor at the front of the zoo. Camper should arrive no later than 15 minutes before camp start time. Pick up begins at 4:00 pm. Late pick up beyond the 15 minute grace period will be charged at a rate of $1.00 per minute.
What to Bring: CITs are required to bring a lunch, 2 snacks and water bottle each day. CITs are also required to wear Camp T-Shirt daily.
Waiver: Once registration is completed, you will receive a waiver to complete for each registrant. A completed waiver is required before the start of camp.

Refund Policy. To address the issue of last minute cancellations resulting in other campers missing the opportunity to participate; please note our strict refund policy
- Last day to drop or cancel with a full refund is one month before your camp start date.
- Refunds will not be given within one month of camp start date.
